Our recent visit to Evolution Motion Solutions highlighted one of Noblesville’s most innovative advanced manufacturing partners. From their long-standing engineering legacy to their modern automation systems, Evolution is shaping the future of motion control and robotics.

A Legacy of Innovation

While the company name is new, the experience behind it spans decades.

  • Womack and Morrell Group merged in 2023 and rebranded as Evolution Motion Solutions in November 2024.
  • Womack Machine Supply dates to 1944; Morrell Group to 1976, with locations across North America.

Their Noblesville headquarters, opened in November 2022, was the first company to operate in Washington Business Park, strengthening Noblesville’s footprint in advanced manufacturing.

What Evolution Motion Solutions Does

Evolution designs custom motion control solutions, automation systems, robotics, and fluid power equipment that help companies operate more efficiently. Their systems support key industries such as:

  • Mobile / Off-Highway

While they don’t manufacture their customers’ systems and machines, they do help them run more efficiently and reliably by optimizing production time and enhancing performance.

Evolution is eager to expand into medical automation. The Noblesville location currently employs 36 team members across engineering, technical, sales, marketing, and leadership roles.

Each system demonstrated its commitment to efficiency, precision, and safe manufacturing environments.
