Zevacor Molecular plans to open a $40 million isotope-production facility in Noblesville, Indiana.  Ken Smithmier, Illinois Health & Science’s President and CEO, stated that due to the limited shelf life of isotopes, “Logistics made a big difference,” in selecting a location for the 70 MeV cyclotron.  Noblesville’s central location and proximity to the FedEx Express Hub will increase Zevacor’s product shipping capabilities.

Plans for the currently vacant 14395 Bergen Boulevard include more than $7 million for purchase and renovation of the  71,000 square foot building.  Zevacor will not utilize the entire building up front, leaving room for the company to expand in the future.
