NOBLESVILLE, IN (September 30, 2025) – The City of Noblesville announced today that Caterpillar Inc. will establish a high-tech operation in its growing Innovation Mile District. Caterpillar Inc., a global leader in manufacturing and technology, will soon open a cutting-edge motor prototyping facility at 13975 Westinghouse Drive, located to the west of The Arena at Innovation Mile fronting Interstate 69. As a technology leader for more than a century, Caterpillar continues to innovate and invest in the advancement of energy solutions and electrification, helping its customers meet their sustainability goals and needs.
The facility, previously occupied by BorgWarner, will focus on the development of advanced electric motor technologies and is expected to bring approximately 25 high-skilled jobs to the community. Caterpillar’s initial investment includes leasing the 103,000-square-foot space and acquiring existing state-of-the-art equipment already on-site. Built in 2018, the facility offers a strong foundation for continued innovation and Collaboration.

Located just off Olio Road and Interstate 69, Noblesville’s Innovation Mile district is quickly becoming a hub for innovative and advanced industries, healthcare, sports, and technology-driven businesses.
