December 6, 2013…..This fall, the City of Noblesville and the National Citizen Survey mailed out an anonymous survey to 1200 randomly selected Noblesville households in order to learn what residents think of the community. The survey results will also be compared to the results of the survey conducted in 2010. Those households that did not receive a survey but that still wish to participate in the process will be able to fill out an anonymous online survey from now through Monday, December 23. Only those individuals who did not receive a mailed survey should fill out the online version. The survey will be available at www.VisionNoblesville.com and www.cityofnoblesville.org (on the main page of the city's website, click on the Vision Noblesville logo).
For those who wish to participate but who do not have access to a computer, the Hamilton East Public Library offers patrons free access to computers. Also, people are welcome to stop by the Planning Department at City Hall (16 S. 10th Street) between 8 am – 4 pm from Monday through Friday and use one of the department's computers to fill out the online survey.
The Citizen Survey is being coordinated by Vision Noblesville–an initiative supported by Mayor Ditslear that encourages citizen participation and dialogue on a variety of topics under the banners of Education, Growth, Environment, and People. The purpose of the Citizen Survey is to provide insight as to what residents believe are the strengths and weaknesses of the community and of local government. This will assist city officials with long-term planning. The results of both the mailed and the online surveys will be announced in January.
