INDIANAPOLIS and NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Miller Consulting Group, a CAD, engineering and PLM training and consulting company, have announced the certification completion of its first class of high school students at its new Center of Excellence in Noblesville.

The program certifies students in the development of CAD and engineering skills.

“The certification in CAD and other exact skills training they received will open meaningful career opportunities for students who are graduating from high school,” said Dale Miller, president of Miller Consulting. “It's a worthwhile investment and has far-reaching benefits. To me, that's a game changer.”

The first class of students began the certification process in January and have received training in Creo, NX and Solidworks CAD software. Geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing or GD&T fundamentals and drawing standards also were covered.

The certification took place at Miller Consulting's new Noblesville center at 984 Logan St., where participants received certificates of completion in front of their parents, Noblesville High School leaders and Noblesville John Ditslear.

Craig L. Miller, professor of computer graphics in the Purdue University College of , was the keynote speaker.

“There is a global shortage of engineers and this program allows us to fill that gap faster and provide jobs for young right out of high school,” Dale Miller said.

Miller Consulting has other locations at the Purdue Research Park of Indianapolis and Warsaw, Indiana.
