Corporate Campus

In 2000 the City of Noblesville was quickly approaching a major turning point in its economic future. Noblesville had experienced explosive residential growth over the last decade because of its excellent location northeast of Indianapolis along Interstate 69. The numbers of new homes continued to escalate such that the city was experiencing record numbers of new single-family homes every year. The downside of this growth was that a majority of those who were moving to Noblesville still worked in Indianapolis, turning Noblesville into a bedroom community of Indianapolis.

Noblesville’s dilemma was similar to that of other communities in Hamilton County and of any other community in the suburbs of a major metropolis; the people and houses were coming but the businesses were not following. The new residents needed essential services and the new homes they were living in could not pay for themselves. In addition, there were few opportunities to both live and work in our community. The City decided at that point it was time to proactively determine an alternative and create a plan that would secure Noblesville’s economic future. That is when the City of Noblesville developed its 3600-acre Corporate Campus.
